In the textbook, Robert Dentan who was doing fieldwork with the Semai of Malaysia had reported that even though they were using a water filter and also some chlorine tablets, they were having typhoid and paratyphoid immunizations as well but still there were high chances of dysentery, infectious hepatitis, and typhoid.
